Does it really avoid stairs and drop-offs?
Yes. Edge and depth sensors detect stairs, ledges and drop-offs, so it stops and re-routes before it reaches them — it will not tumble down a staircase.
How does the AI actually recognise my cat and the room?
On-board AI runs live recognition through the camera: it picks out your cat, everyday obstacles and stair edges, then decides where it is safe to drive — all on the device, in real time. That is how it finds and follows your cat on its own.
What happens if my cat knocks it over?
Nothing — it just gets back up. Its self-righting design means a knock or a swat rolls it and pops it straight back onto its wheels, so play never ends with it stuck on its side.
Does it need WiFi? Is there an app?
Yes — it runs on standard 2.4GHz home WiFi and one free app (iPhone & Android) controls everything: live video, two-way audio, driving, play, treats and schedules. No hub, no monthly fee.
How does the auto-docking and charging work?
When the battery runs low it stops what it is doing, drives itself back to the charging dock, and recharges — then it is ready for the next scheduled session. You never plug it in.
How long does the battery last?
A full charge covers a normal day of scheduled play plus camera check-ins, and much longer on standby. Because it self-docks, it simply tops itself up between sessions.

How do I control it — set a schedule, let it drive itself, or take over?
Three ways, and you can mix them. Set a schedule and it wakes itself at the times you pick, plays, patrols, then docks — completely hands-free. Switch on autonomous mode and the on-board AI roams the home on its own, finds your cat and starts a chase without you. Or open the app any time and take control yourself: drive it room to room, aim the laser, toss a treat and talk live. You can jump in and take over even in the middle of a scheduled session.
What can it actually do while I'm at work?

How do the laser, treats and two-way audio work?
The laser is a low-power dot it casts and steers across the floor to trigger your cat's chase instinct. The built-in launcher flings a small dry treat as a reward — on your tap, or automatically at the end of a session. Two-way audio works like a speakerphone: you hear the room and your cat hears your voice through the app, so you can call them over or settle them from anywhere.
I work long shifts — will it keep going all day?
Easily. It plays on a schedule and, because it self-docks and recharges between sessions, it stays topped up and ready — a full 12-hour shift of check-ins and play is no problem, even back-to-back days.
How good is the camera at night?
