How long does the battery last, and how do I charge it?
On a full charge it runs for hours of active play and camera use, and much longer on standby. It recharges over USB-C in a couple of hours, so most owners just top it up overnight and it is ready for the day.
Does it need WiFi, and will it work on my network?
Yes, it runs on standard 2.4GHz home WiFi, the same band your phone and smart speakers use, and you set it up in the app in a couple of minutes. On a dual-band router, just connect it to the 2.4GHz network.
Is there an app? Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. One free app for iPhone and Android runs everything: live camera, two-way audio, laser, treat toss and auto mode. No hub, no extra hardware, no wires across the floor.
What's in the box?

How good is the camera, and does it work at night?
The camera streams clear HD video with night vision, so you can see them in a dark room and catch the after-hours zoomies. Tap to snap a photo or record a clip straight to your phone.
Can I watch and control it from anywhere?
Anywhere. As long as the Companion is on your WiFi and your phone has signal, you can watch, talk, drive it, flick the laser and drop a treat from your desk, the office, or another country.
What floors does it drive on — will it work in my home?
It rolls on just about any flat floor. Hard surfaces are ideal — hardwood and wood, laminate, tile, marble, vinyl and sealed concrete — and it crosses low-pile rugs and carpet without getting stuck. Very deep shag or plush high-pile carpet can slow it down, and tall thresholds are best avoided. So marble, wood, tile and low carpet are all fair game; keep it on one level and it will happily patrol the whole floor.
Can it play on a schedule while I'm out?
Yes. Set auto mode and it roams and teases on a schedule while you are out, so your cat gets its hunt whether or not anyone is holding the phone. Or take the wheel yourself any time from the app.
Is it safe to leave running while I'm out?
Yes. It roams gently, parks and charges itself, and nothing inside gets hot. You are only ever watching a cat that finally has something fun to do.
What treats does it use?
Small dry treats, about pebble size. Crunchy, uniform ones launch best. Anything soft or sticky can gum up the dispenser.
Will this get a lazy or overweight cat moving?
That is exactly who it helps most. The moving laser triggers the hunting instinct even a lazy cat cannot ignore, and the treat reward keeps them coming back. A few short chases a day is one of the easiest ways to get an under-active cat off the couch. Enrichment, not a medical device.
My cat is shy. Will it actually use it?
Most cats are on it within minutes. For a shy one, leave it parked and switched off for a day so it becomes furniture, then start with a treat toss before it ever moves. Most come around once they realise it brings snacks, and if yours truly will not, the return window covers you.
